Captain iPhone saves the day

Last night I worked in Artarmon and had to get home to the Inner West. While walking down the road, wondering whether to get a taxi or the train, I remembered how they have been doing roadwork at night on the Harbour Bridge. Wishing I could find out if they were doing that again, I realised – I can! With three finger presses, I had opened my SydTraffic app (that has direct links to all RTA traffic cameras), and taken a look at the Bridge traffic flow. It was not a pretty sight – cars were being funnelled into ONE lane each way, and it was chockers.

So I took the train, and whizzed past what turned out to be a full-on traffic jam due to roadworks AND a major accident. Thank you, Captain iPhone!
